In response to BikeWalkCV’s request, Alameda County’s Public Works Agency (PWA) has created the CVBPAC to advise the Director of PWA on matters related to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan (Master Plan) within Castro Valley. The new seven-member committee will meet for the first time on Wednesday, March 11, 6:30-8pm at the Castro Valley Library. This first meeting (agenda here) will include introductions of the committee, roles and responsibilities (attached), and upcoming related events.
The roles and responsibilities include acting as liaison with CV communities, gathering community feedback about updating the Master Plan, as well as assisting with grant applications, educational efforts and promoting bicycling and walking as viable forms of transportation and recreation.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend and contribute to making biking and walking safer and more accessible for Castro Valley.
